Jasmine and I dropped the boys off at school and hit the kitchen to bake some yummy banana bread and we had to toss in some chocolate chips! I followed this recipe (plus adding chocolate chips). There is no better smell than warm banana bread baking. Its aroma fills the entire house and it just makes you feel like cozying up under a blanket, grabbing a good book, and eating some banana bread!
I just finished reading Daisy Jones & the Six. It was so good. I didn’t want it to end! It was written in an oral history format. It took some time for me to get into the book because of this style I think, but I am so glad I stuck with it. My next read is going to be The Vanishing Half. I am very excited to dive into this one. Has anyone read it yet? Also, a book series that Jonathan has recently started reading is The Underland Chronicles. Jordan’s teacher reads them Junie B. Jones (which is so cute I ended up buying all of these books for Jonathan when he was in Kindergarten because he loved them). Jonathan has to read every night for homework so he enjoys it much more when he is interested in the series. I will read to Jordan ( a chapter book such as Junie B. Jones or Ready Freddy books) before he goes to bed. This Summer, my goal is to have Jordan reading the chapter books to me.
Can you even believe that February is almost over? We are certainly looking forward to Spring! I hope you have a wonderful week! XO
