Weekend Overview

Happy Monday friends! Our kiddos started their fourth week of school this week and I honestly can’t believe it. Time is flying by! With time flying by and Summer is wrapping up we are heading into one of my most favorite times of the year. I love Fall and everything it represents. Cool crisp mornings, cozy blankets, fires, pumpkins on the front porch, and of course Halloween! I am starting to see hints of Fall and I am embracing them.

We finally have a blue sky today so we are loving that and hoping it stays. Soccer has been canceled for three weeks straight due to poor air quality so we are hoping that the boys can get some soccer in before any more smoke comes back.

Over the weekend I made a simple bruschetta recipe with ingredients that I had on hand. I just cut up small grape tomatoes, tomato from the vine, fresh basil, parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, a clove of garlic (minced), and salt and pepper to taste. I don’t measure just a pinch here and there and toss it all together (probably not the best technic). I fried Italian bread on the stove in just some olive oil (both sides of bread) and then add the bruschetta and it is soooo GOOD!

I just got this book, Yoga Pant Nation, and am so excited to read this. This is book three of a cute series and the other two books were so light, fun, and relatable. I was so happy to discover this author wrote the third book. I finished reading Untamed by Glennon Doyle and Beach Read which were both very good! With Fall approaching I am hoping to find the time to read more while we start to cozy in. What is on your reading list this Fall?

I hope you had a wonderful weekend and have a great week! XO
